These Lenny Burtman photos of Bettie Page were in real sad shape when I
received them. Dusty, dirty, fingerprints in the negatives, bad
exposures, etc... They took about two years to properly prepare for
me but it was well worth the wait. Lenny was the grand
foot/shoe/boot fetishist and it really shows in these photographs of
Bettie Page. Notice the positioning of Bettie Page's foot gear and her
sometimes stern facial expressions. Pure Lenny! Thanks to Henry

Leonard "Lenny" Burtman was involved in the fetish publishing world from
1955 until the early 1980s. Lenny was one of the greats. He was born in
Nebraska in 1921 and died in the early 1980s. During 1941-1950 he worked
in the electronics industry. In 1949, he got into some trouble which
involved the transporting of fraudulent securities. He moved to New York
in 1950 to begin a new life. He became a professional photographer and
supposedly worked for Irving Klaw. He then went out on his own to become
a magazine publisher with Benedict "Ben" Himmel. Their long term
partnership lasted from Oct. 17 1955 to 1970.
Lenny Burtman never had any children. During World
