The lklkay collection is/was one of the most diverse, comprehensive, and
just plain wonderful Bettie Page collections ever to see the light of
day. lklkay is a seller name on eBay. I was casually watching this
collection unfold week after week and it kept on getting better. Here is
their sales pitch " This slide is from the personal collection of an
admirer who knew Bettie personally. The collection has been stored away
since the 50's and none of the slides have been available for viewing or
sale until now. For this reason it is unlikely you will find this image
anywhere else. Portions of the image which have been blacked out for
online "appropriateness" are fully visible on the actual slide. This is
the actual slide scanned so what you see is what you get." -lklkay
This admirer had Mennings, Burtmans, Yeagers, Glansmans, Cass Carr's
studio, 35mm slides from where the infamous Party photos took place,
tons of camera club, a 3D slide from John Bromfield's parents apartment
(Charles West did not shoot Bettie in 3D!!!), photos taken soon after
Bettie's first haircut, pre-bang modeling photos, comp shots (used by
actresses and models to give to prospective employers) and personal
photos of Bettie when she was very young. One very interesting piece was
Bettie's personal date book which listed her appointments.
The 3D slide of Bettie Page at John John Bromfield's parent's apartments
sold for over $800. The comp shot (scan 000) sold for over $2000.
