This section is a repository for miscellaneous Bettie Page photos where
there are not enough to make a whole section. The above introductory
photo is obviously not Bettie Page and the person who called me out on
it won a signed photo. There are many interesting photos here some of
which you've probably seen before but nicely cleaned up in PhotoShop. We
have a couple of: Theakston paintings, a Jan Caldwell photo, a Peter
Basch photo, a few Weegees and a photographer I have never heard of
before Allan Gould. The backs of the photos by the photographers have
been included so members can get an idea what to look for if the
opportunity ever presents itself to purchase one. We have a few
photographs which were originally used for PEIVATE PEEKS magazine
published by Belier Press. Some of them never made it to publication and
are being shown for the first time! 028 is of particular interest
because it clearly isn't Bettie and made it into PRIVATE PEEKS
magazine. 049-052 were recent finds on eBay. I find these particularly
interesting because they are so unlike anything I have ever seen Bettie
Page do in her modeling career. They are straight portrait shots! I had
a variation of 036 which was from the same set but it was too small to
post. If any Private Peeks members have any others from this photo shoot
at a similar size, please send it in! 034 is one of my favorites. It is
a sketch of Bettie Page as a teacher by Detroit's own Glenn Barr. It's
obvious why Bettie Page would have been a distraction to her students!
One last observation, Bettie Page's Kirk Douglas is plainly visible in
the first Allan Gould photo.
