I WILL TRADE VINTAGE BETTIE PAGE FOR VINTAGE KEVIN DALEY.
Little is known about the mysterious Kevin Daley but with her girlish,
early Bacall good looks and posing talent, she's worth remembering.
Though she's often mistaken for Bettie Page, or referred to as a "Bettie
Page lookalike", Kevin appeared in magazines in the late 40's, thus
pre-dating Bettie's modeling career. In fact, according to Richard
Foster's book about Bettie Page, when Bettie first hit the camera club
scene, photographers referred to her as a "Kevin Daley lookalike". Like
Bettie, Kevin's beauty and talent were her own and she was no mere
copycat. She was captured by none other than Monroe photographer Andre
de Dienes for his refined modern art studies. On the other end of
the spectrum, like Bettie, Kevin also posed for Robert Harrison's pulp
girly magazines, occasionally appearing in the same spread as Bettie
herself. -Louise Baranoski
Kevin Daley is very beautiful and without the help of Louise Baranoski
who runs the
Kevin Daley Spotlight Yahoo Group (please visit!),
I never would have been able to put this section together. Information
on Kevin Daley is scarce so if you know ANYTHING about her, please
contact
papericons. Thanks goes to Al Haugen for many contributions on this page.
